Associate in Science: Education |
The Associate of Science degree in Education is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a baccalaureate degree in education and meet Virginia¿s teacher certification requirements. Although students may remain in and graduate from the A.S. in Education without selecting a major, students are encouraged to select from one of following three majors to best prepare them for students they desire to teach: Elementary (PK-6), Middle/Secondary Education (6-12), or Special Education. Students should consult with an advisor or counselor on course and major selection to ensure they are prepared for the preferred program at the four-year institution they plan to attend. |
